At Falmouth Golf Club we pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming club and have a great range of golfing abilities between us.

Falmouth Golf Club Men’s Section play competitions most weekends throughout the year.

During the year we have a Stroke Play (medal) and a Stableford competitions each month that are open to all members. The competition date (either Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday) is set in the diary.

In Winter months we have a Winter League Four Ball competition on 10 weeks, about a fortnight apart, which is a great favourite.

During the Summer our Major Competitions are held including all our qualifiers and Knockouts (Singles and Pairs) competitions. Finals Day is held in September when a Presentation Evening recognises all those who have won competitions and presents the fine Trophies held by the Club.

Informal roll-ups are held most weekdays, when you can come along and play for fun with anyone else who turns up. There is a Monday Stableford every Monday.
During the Christmas Period we hold several fun competitions. For example our Christmas draw Scramble and our Turkey Trot followed by Cut & Carve and Carols are very popular and well attended.

Falmouth Golf Club Men’s teams compete in most of the County Competitions, the Cornwall Team Championship, Wills Salver and Cornish Bowl Competitions. We also enter teams in Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday competitions and Cornwall County Week competitions. All categories of golfer have a chance to play in Falmouth Golf Club Teams which are selected by the Captain.

Our Annual General Meeting of the Men’s Section is held in October, when our Captain, Vice Captain, Competition Secretary, Treasurer and the rest of the Committee are elected.
